Ananda Development Public Company Limited and Council of University Presidents of Thailand (CUPT) are partnering to organize ‘How Cambridge Berkeley Stanford do Tech Transfer’ for the first time in Thailand. Top representatives of the three prestigious universities which are University of Cambridge, University of California, Berkeley, and Stanford University will share their best practices in intellectual property and technology transfer with Thai university leaders and students. Through these diverse success stories, the objective of this event is to help advance the development of a successful innovation and tech culture in Thailand towards prosperity and sustainability, starting from its education system to business sector and to the whole of society.
“I am very delighted that Ananda Development has taken part in promoting a significance change in Thai education by organizing this conference that aims to trigger a cultural revolution in the Thai tech ecosystem. I am confident that “How Cambridge Berkeley Stanford do Tech Transfer” will serve as a pilot project that opens up the opportunity for all representatives from universities and key players in education development nationwide to learn and share the best practices with these three prestigious universities. It is our hope that using this knowledge, Thai universities will be able to develop technology for academic purposes in order to produce students with skills and abilities that meet the needs of the global market. From these experiences, they will also be able to invent their own path towards technology development to ensure the prosperity and stability of the Thai society.
“It is such an honor to have three of the very best universities in the world join and share their experience, innovative technology, and best practices with the representatives from Thai universities. From these exchanges, Thai universities will be able to adopt world best practices in technology transfer for university. By doing so, Thailand and its people can achieve its full potential of innovation.” said Dr. John Leslie Millar, Chief Strategic Development Officer, Ananda Development.
The keynote speakers from these three globally renowned universities are:
Dr. Paul J. Seabright, Deputy Director, Cambridge Enterprise, University of Cambridge
